Fishing North Alabama

North Alabama has a lot to offer. The Tennessee River runs east to west across the northern portion of Alabama. It includes: Guntersville Lake, Wheeler Lake, Wilson Lake, and Pickwick Lake. Beginning in the northeast corner of Alabama is the Coosa River. The lakes of the Coosa river that are in North Alabama include: Weiss Lake, Neely Henry Lake, and Logan Martin Lake. In the central portion of North Alabama is Smith Lake which is the impounded Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River. These lakes combine to provide some of the best largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass fishing in the world. Other types of fish for this area include: bluegill, various types of sunfish, crappie, sauger, white bass, striped bass, and catfish.
